You play me like a melody.
Let me be your song.
In fluid bursts of rhapsody,
Feelings come on strong.

Our dreams made to follow.
You in mine as I sleep.
If I wake feeling hollow,
Still in thoughts, you I keep.

Destinies are so fragile.
Relying on paths we choose.
Our minds must be agile,
Or too quickly we can lose.

We cling to what we know,
Even when it's lost its spark,
Truer feelings too hard to show.
Till we unveil them in the dark.

And yet we are connected,
By bits and strands each day.
Passing thoughts disconnected,
From our own realities we stray.

In the stars, we are linked,
Channeling love undetected.
Accepting all that's chinked,
Giving what we've both reflected.

On this journey, we continue,
For we are loving the ride.
In each other, finding sinew,
To keep shining till we collide.

A poem about feeling connected to someone and feeling them throughout each day, knowing they feel it too.

Awesome poem! It definitely flows beautifully and the words you chose made the poem have an enchanted and celestial feel to it that I absolutely adore. The idea of having a perfect match somewhere out in the world is such an intriguing idea, and the thought of being connected to that person is something that I love to ponder upon while daydreaming and thinking deeply for no reason at all (which I often do). You make beautiful poetry, keep on writing and thinking of new ways to improve your writing (even though your poetry is already pretty awesome, I've learned that as a writer, there's always ways of becoming a better writer and there's always something new to learn, you just have to think outside of the box sometimes and think differently about what you see around you).
