Literature Text

I watch as he stands there alone.
Like the full moon, in silver he glows.
Forever, I want to be loved by him.
To be the one who is all that he knows.

He walks guarded through the crowd.
Then turns as if he wants me to follow.
He smiles when he sees my face.
Yet his eyes are dark and so hollow.

My heart screams, you've found me.
Not another second will we be apart.
He reaches out and takes my hand.
His touch is as cold as his heart.

I hear its ominous beating so loudly.
Yet I'm drawn like a moth to the flame.
He searches my eyes for an eternity.
Kissing my hand, he speaks my name.

I am the butterfly in his capture.
His long blond hair entangles my wings.
He touches me as a precious treasure.
I am spellbound when he sings.

I'm raptured by the scent of him.
Within his aura, I am totally lost.
There is nothing I wouldn't do for him.
I want to be with him at any cost.

Slowly, he then pulls me in close.
With one kiss, I succumb to his curse.
His bite is as strong as his passion.
Yet I could die by so much worse.
