Literature Text

Oh that familiar push and pull.
We've all been here once before.
Love comes on oh so forceful,
Till you're running for the door.

We want what is hard to obtain,
Always up and ready for the chase.
Will we be the one who lies slain,
Or walk away with a modicum of grace?

Kisses on which our breaths depend.
Push me ardently up against the wall.
How many rules can we break or bend?
What will you wager to take this fall?

He's ready for me and I for him.
There's nowhere to be or time to rush.
Everyone knows how you learn to swim,
You take that plunge with just one push.

So there are no victims here tonight.
We give in with all glorious fashion.
Only time will tell if it's wrong or right.
Will it be love, or was it just passion?
