Literature Text

We're caught in a stalemate,
Which move will we chose?
Stay away, or take a step,
We've nothing left to lose.

We can just keep looking,
But you know it's all the same.
Close your eyes, you feel me.
In dreams, you call my name.

Neither wants this emptiness,
Nor ending with this fight.
Come be with me now,
Bring me back the night.

You've drawn me in before.
Please don't shut me out.
I needed time to trust you.
I have no cause for doubt.

Let's see where this takes us.
We'll go there hand in hand.
But nothing will become of us,
If steadfast we must stand.

Open up your eyes now,
Along with your closed heart.
We'll stake a claim in us.
It's not our time to part.
