Literature Text

I feel so lost,
suspended in time.
I'm serving the sentence,
Without doing the crime.

Some stay all day,
Waiting for an answer.
One in a line of many,
All hopeless romancers.

One second so fleeting,
Moments few and far between.
Trying to catch your attention,
Relying on a dream.

Standing in the heat for hours,
Waiting for a glimpse of you.
If you even noticed me,
Would your heart be true?

You hold the key to many hearts.
Yet no one can break through.
You've been waiting forever.
Yet I hold one for you.

Open your eyes,
Why don't you see?
Open your heart,
And recognize me.
